Steve de Castro, Baltimore restaurateur,
owner of four award-winning Ruth’s Chris Restaurants, Havana
Club, Eurasian Harbor and Babalu Grill, presented the "Sizzling
Celebrity Golf Classic" this week to benefit The Leukemia
and Lymphoma Society of Maryland Chapter. Local celebrities,
including Ravens
players Adalius Thomas, Gary Baxter, Jonathan Ogden, Chris Redmond,
Matt Stover, Anthony Weaver and former Colts players Tom Matte,
Toni Linhart, Bruce Laird, and others teamed up with Baltimore
area business leaders to raise over $250,000.
The beautiful day of golf concluded with a party at Havana Club
complete with food, drink, prizes and a live auction...including
a raffle for a new gorgeous Lexus convertible! This was a wonderful
way to give back to the community, way to go Steve and all the
2003 participants and sponsors. |
